Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Quick answers to the questions families ask us most.
We offer one free trial session for all new players across any of our 4 Auckland venues. During the trial, our head coaches assess the athlete's skill level, ball-handling comfort, and court awareness to recommend the ideal age group and tier.
Players should bring indoor non-marking basketball shoes, comfortable athletic clothing, a water bottle, and their own basketball (Size 5 for ages 5–8, Size 6 for ages 9–12 and girls, Size 7 for U16 boys). Official club balls and reversible match uniforms can also be purchased in our Merch Shop.
Yes! As long as there is capacity in the specific class tier, players are welcome to join mid-term. Fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remaining weeks of the term.
If your child is unable to attend, please let us know in advance. Where class capacity is suitably low, we may be able to arrange a make-up lesson within the same term.
Competitive representative teams (U11, U14, U16) are selected through ongoing performance in club training and scheduled trial dates. Selection criteria emphasize basketball IQ, coachability, high-intensity defense, and positive teamwork.

Support the Player, Support the Team
- Encourage positively from the sideline and allow coaches to coach.
- Respect referees, scorebench volunteers, opponents, and other families.
- Raise questions with us calmly and away from active training or games.
- Let us know early about absences, injuries, or anything coaches should be aware of.
Get Involved
There are plenty of ways to contribute — on court, at the scorebench, or behind the scenes.

Scorebench
Learn game clock, scoreboard, score-sheet and basic stat duties while supporting our teams on game day.
Events & Media
Help with photos, short videos, equipment, check-in, awards and holiday-program logistics.
A Great Way for Older Players to Give Back
