Compete.
Grow Through the Game.
Beyond representative squads give selected players the opportunity to experience meaningful competition beyond weekly training. Teams compete in tournaments and leagues across Auckland, developing game awareness, resilience, teamwork, and confidence through real match experience.
COMPETITION PATHWAY
Why Tournament Basketball Matters
Training builds the tools. Competition teaches players when and how to use them.
Representative Squads
Beyond forms age-group teams for selected tournaments, with squad composition based on age, development level, availability, and the requirements of each competition.
Meaningful Competition
Players gain experience through Auckland tournaments, youth leagues, weekend cups, and major events such as SAS Slam.
Pathway to Rep Basketball
Tournament experience helps advanced players prepare for higher-level representative basketball. In 2026, eight Beyond players were selected into Counties Manukau U14 representative teams.
TEAM SELECTION
How Players Are Selected
Tournament teams are not based on one skill alone. Coaches consider the overall needs of the team and each player's readiness for the level of competition.
